These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShutterPost, operated by ShutterPost ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use ShutterPost.
ShutterPost is a social media automation platform for photographers and visual artists. The service monitors a designated Dropbox folder, generates AI-powered captions and hashtags, enhances photos using AI, generates short-form video Reels, and publishes your content to Instagram and/or Facebook Pages on a schedule you configure.
Instagram and Facebook are independent integrations. You may connect either platform or both — connecting one does not require the other.
Your use of ShutterPost is also subject to the terms and policies of Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and Dropbox, as ShutterPost acts as a bridge between these platforms on your behalf.
To use ShutterPost you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ShutterPost. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
You agree to notify us immediately at support@shutterpost.net if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You retain full ownership of all photos, videos, and other content you post through ShutterPost. By using the service, you grant ShutterPost a limited, non-exclusive license to access and transmit your content solely as necessary to operate the service — specifically, to read files from your Dropbox and publish them to your connected social accounts.
We do not claim ownership over your content, use it for advertising, share it with third parties beyond what is required to publish it on your behalf, or use it to train AI models.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms at our sole discretion.
ShutterPost operates as an authorized integration with the Meta/Instagram platform. Your use of ShutterPost for Instagram and Facebook automation is subject to Meta's Platform Terms and the respective Terms of Use for each platform. By connecting your Instagram or Facebook account, you authorize ShutterPost to act on your behalf within the permissions you grant.
ShutterPost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc.
ShutterPost uses AI to generate captions, hashtags, enhanced images, and video Reels. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before it is published. By approving and queuing content, you confirm it meets your standards and complies with all applicable platform policies.
We do not warrant that AI-generated captions will be accurate, appropriate for your audience, or free of errors. AI-generated Reels and enhanced images are provided as tools to assist your creative workflow, not as a substitute for your editorial judgment.
ShutterPost is a paid subscription service. Current plan pricing is displayed at shutterpost.net/#pricing. A free trial is available to new users — a valid payment method is required to start a trial.
Certain features — including AI Reels generation, AI image enhancement, and high-resolution enhancement — may consume credits that are either included with your plan or purchased separately. Credits are non-refundable and do not expire. Credits are deducted only upon successful completion of the relevant action. If an action fails, credits are not deducted.
High-resolution enhancement credits produce output delivered directly to your device. These outputs are not stored on our servers and cannot be recovered after download.
Agency plan subscribers may create and manage multiple client workspaces within a single ShutterPost account. Each workspace operates independently with its own social account connections, Dropbox folder, posting schedule, and settings.
As an agency subscriber, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of client workspaces complies with these Terms, including obtaining proper authorization from your clients to post on their behalf. ShutterPost is not a party to any agreements between you and your clients.
We aim to keep ShutterPost available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or factors outside our control — such as outages at Instagram, Facebook, Dropbox, or our AI provider partners.
We are not liable for any missed posts, lost followers, or other consequences resulting from service downtime or API limitations imposed by third-party platforms.
ShutterPost is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that AI-generated content will meet your expectations, that posts will be published at exact scheduled times, or that enhanced images or generated videos will meet professional standards.
You use the service at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShutterPost shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of ShutterPost shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the dashboard or contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your subscription lapses beyond the grace period, or at our discretion with reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your access to the service ends and your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of ShutterPost after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in good faith. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
